Boho Bride

I’m sure you all have been holding your breath since I first wrote about my Boho Watercolor Floral Wedding Invitations, so inhale deeply, because this shoot will take your breath away. Based on the inspiration, I wasn’t quite sure how this shoot was all going to come together, but I am just so impressed with Alex Perry‘s coordinating and every last one of Morgan Anderson‘s photographs.

Apparently, so is The Perfect Palette, who featured the shoot in November. This was my first time on the popular wedding and event blog, so I was very excited! Check out some of my favorite images and all the vendors below, and order invites in my shop!

Bess and I met eight years ago today! If you’ve never heard the full story of how I found my press and got the studio up and running, check out my about page and the first few blog posts way back in 2008.

I never, ever, ever would have dreamed that this business would grow so much or travel so far. Life always throws you curve balls, but I really do think the universe has your best interests at heart. Here’s to eight more years!

Studio Update & a Sale!

One of my favorite stockists got in touch just days after the Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling a few weeks back. As we had many times before, she wanted to brainstorm some new card ideas to celebrate the wedding boom she saw in the near future, and I was all too happy to oblige!

I offered several ideas and she added a few of her own and as always, let me run away with the design. Some were simply variations on designs that already existed in the 622 press collection. Others were brand new and allowed me to show off my ever-growing collection of wood and lead type! I’m most excited about the congratulations cards below: I love the way they evoke the old-school letterpress style of shops like Hatch Show Print.

She also needed to restock on a fair number of best-sellers, and the result is my biggest wholesale order to date! I’ve been printing almost every day for weeks, and it feels great to be so busy.

This week is all about folding and packaging her order and photographing new designs to list in my etsy shop. Now I have to find a home for all these new designs! To help me clear some space in my stockroom, I’m offering 25% off purchases of in-stock merchandise through the end of the month! Just enter the code “622BLOGFOLLOWER” at checkout. Enjoy!

Readymade Wedding Invitations

As I’ve mentioned in a few past blog posts, I’ve been working on wedding invitation designs that couple can just pluck off the digital shelf, send me their event information, and—presto!—their invites arrive within a few weeks. Last year I had several couple get in touch with too little time before their nuptials, so I thought these would be the perfect solution for last minute brides.

I’ve also recently realized that for non-designers, starting to brainstorm a design from scratch is totally overwhelming. I’ve had a few designs bopping around my head for a while that haven’t quite suited any of my clients thus far—so my hope is that by having a design in front of them, couples will find the process easier.
