I’m loving these glass “splash” bowls from Dylan & Amy Engler. I love the variety of colors and the way each one has its own unique variations. They’re perfect as an interesting serving vessel, a place to set your keys when you get home or just a gorgeous piece of art!
Neile is a jewelry design studio that employs the wings of naturally-deceased butterflies to create stunning rings and necklaces. (That show-stopper above? That’s a ring!) The wings are encased between panes of glass and surrounded by artfully placed silver solder. I love the way the natural iridescence of the wings is preserved — the perfect way for these transient insects to live on.
What do you get when you combine one part self-proclaimed science nerd with one part artistic metalsmith? Raven Hanna of Molecular Muse. She makes beautiful silver jewelry of some of our favorite molecules — seratonin, estrogen, caffeine and dopamine — and occasionally branches out into other mediums, such as the lovely ‘ethanol’ flutes below.
