October Card Club

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.

cotm_1016_7302I can’t beleive it’s October! If you thought the pace of my blog posts last month was something, you should have seen my whirlwind trip home. Anyway, enough about me! For this month’s Card Club collection, I pulled some of my favorite autumnal botanical cards, plus some gold and orange to make it feel like fall!

Believe it or not, next month’s collection will be the holiday delivery, which always comes with some fun extras, so sign up today! Purchase a subscription here.

Boho Bride: Unique Orange, Pink and Purple Floral Wedding Invitations

Well friends, we’re getting close to the end of my month of weddings, so I thought we’d go out with a bang. Originally created for a late-summer boho styled shoot (pics to come this fall!), I painted the watercolor flowers for these myself.

boho_floral_6004I love the energy and colors in this suite, but I think my favorite part is actually the whimsical design of the RSVP! Such a fun way to pack in a lot of information for your guests.

Too much floral can get repetitive, so for the boho save the date, I let the brush lettering shine on an ombré watercolor background. My new offset printer offers a variety of die-cut shapes, which really makes this piece stand out!boho_savethedate_5990

Blush Pink Watercolor Wedding Invitations

Is there anything more romantic than a wedding filled with lush flowers? City or country, modern or traditional, there’s always a flower that’s perfect for your big day. They’re also super fun to paint and design with!

pink_dahlia_6034I started to get back into watercolor painting again after a bit of a hiatus for a client this summer. She went with a different option (to be revealed next spring!), but I’m still absolutely in love with these loose pink flowers! Artistic and modern while still being decidedly pretty, the loose style of painting interacts perfectly with the sage watercolor wash featured on the rest of the suite. Pairing them with a lime envelope creates a fresh feel that would be perfect for a spring wedding!
