A Formal Affair: Black and White Watercolor Wedding Invitations

BW_watercolor_6073This suite turns the traditional black and white wedding invitation on its head. Reversing the formal script and classic typography to white on an abstract black and gray watercolor background creates a stand-out piece that is both elegant and alluring.BW_watercolor_6094

Pair this suite with a white or cream envelope to keep things neutral, or add an accent color like this stunning cobalt blue. Either way, you can’t get more chic than these!BW_watercolor_6074

Artsy Wedding: Red & Orange Painterly Anemones Invitations

japanese_anemone_6208Equally perfect for a garden affair or an indoor artistic venue, these hand-painted anemone invites are one of my favorites. Pairing them with informal brush lettering and avocado envelopes makes them not-too-sweet, allowing your guests to appreciate their painterly quality!

Blush Pink Watercolor Wedding Invitations

Is there anything more romantic than a wedding filled with lush flowers? City or country, modern or traditional, there’s always a flower that’s perfect for your big day. They’re also super fun to paint and design with!

pink_dahlia_6034I started to get back into watercolor painting again after a bit of a hiatus for a client this summer. She went with a different option (to be revealed next spring!), but I’m still absolutely in love with these loose pink flowers! Artistic and modern while still being decidedly pretty, the loose style of painting interacts perfectly with the sage watercolor wash featured on the rest of the suite. Pairing them with a lime envelope creates a fresh feel that would be perfect for a spring wedding!
