Art Deco Invitations

I just finished up an invitation suite for Jen and Aaron’s summer wedding. They’re having an art deco theme throughout the event and wanted the invitations to really reflect that, so I used a really authentic typeface and carried a funky feather motif throughout all the pieces in the suite.

It was my first time printing metallic envelopes, and although they took forever to dry, everything turned out beautifully and I’m really happy with the invitations!

Kyle & Kristine’s rehearsal dinner

Another couple decided my tablescape invitations would be perfect for their rehearsal dinner. I love the color combination and how deep I got the impression.

They also had me design and print a parking insert to meld seamlessly into their existing invitation suite. It’s not my usual aesthetic, but I really had a lot of fun working with the idea.

Rachel Denny

rachel_denny

rachel_denny_closeI just finished up an order of business cards for Rachel Denny, a supremely talented sculptor working out of Portland. I bought the most luxurious gray printmaking paper for the project and I love the way they turned out. The design is based directly off of her ‘Domestic Trophies’ series, one piece of which is featured below. They’re a little crazy but I love them!

Fireworks wedding invitations

I just finished up these gorgeous invitations for a couple who are renewing their vows on July 3rd. While they wanted to aknowledge the proximity of the holiday, they didn’t want their invitations to be kitchy or overly patriotic. I came up with a design that was abstract yet recognizable while being fun, modern and elegant. Printed with a deep impression and silver ink on a rich red textured paper, they are absolutely stunning!
